Pradeep Singh, a 2019 UPSC topper, has accomplished a noteworthy feat by ranking first among the 829 qualified applicants. His outstanding achievement in the UPSC exam allowed him to reach the top. Prior to accomplishing this, he worked for the Income Tax Department, where he obtained taxation knowledge while avoiding the SSC tests. He failed twice before becoming the 2019 UPSC Topper, but he persisted in his efforts and finally placed 260th on his third try. On his fourth attempt in 2019, he retook the UPSC exam while he was working at NACIN in Faridabad. This time, he received an All India Rank 1 and was appointed as an IAS officer.





Pradeep Singh Family Background:-

  1. Tewari hamlet in Sonipat, Haryana, is the hometown of Pradeep Singh. Singh was primarily inspired by his father, the village sarpanch
  2. When the 2019 UPSC test results were revealed, Singh, 29, was working as an Indian Revenue Services Officer and was shocked to see his name at the top of the list. Following the 2019 UPSC test, 829 individuals were chosen for a variety of civil services positions.
  3. After passing the SSC exams, he had also previously worked for the Income Tax Department.
  4. Singh was making his fourth try at it. On his third try, he received a rank of 260 and was accepted into the IRS's Customs and Indirect Taxes programme. At the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) in Faridabad, he had been placed on probation.
  5. Pradeep Singh received his education at Shambhu Dayal School in Sonipat, DCRUST College's computer science engineering programme, and his entire education from Sonipat.
  6. He has a brother and a sister, and his mother stays at home.

Pradeep Ambitions for IAS:-

Pradeep Singh acknowledges that balancing his work as an Income Tax Inspector with his IAS preparation was difficult. Whenever he felt disheartened and considered quitting, however, his father urged him to persevere with his goals and concentrate on getting ready.

Singh had first enrolled in some coaching, but time restrictions forced him to stop. Later, he concentrated on studying on his own with his friends' assistance.

Singh’s message to aspirants is simple – “Self-motivation is the best key to achieve any goal.”

Haryana, Pradeep Singh's native state, is his favored cadre. His career goals are to work in agriculture and teaching.


Score Card in IAS Exam:-

Pradeep Singh, the 2019 UPSC Civil Services top scorer, received 1072 marks, or 52.9%, in the exam. The Haryana-born highest scorer received 158 out of 275 in the interview portion of the test and 914 out of 1750 in the written portion of the UPSC exam.
