Biography:-
Originally from Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. Engineer Ashok Chandra, Shubhra's father, works at the Dhori Project for Central Coalfields Limited. Her mother Kamna takes care of the house. Shubhra, the eldest of three siblings, assisted her brother and sister with their further education. These days, they are both engineers. Shashank Gupta is Shubhra's husband and he works in Noida.
In the last four years, Shubhra claimed that her spouse had been her "biggest supporter" as she studied for the Civil Services Test.
Education:-
Shubhra studied for the most of her time in Jharkhand. She attended DAV (Ranchi Zone) for her education. She attributes all of her success to her well-mannered upbringing, her education, and her high academic record since these elements not only gave her a competitive edge but also helped to build a solid foundation.
A software engineer who attended Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in the 2002 batch left her well-paying IT job after four years because she felt compelled to help the rural population, who lack access to even the most basic amenities like drinking water and education.
Saxena attended IIT Roorkee, started working in the IT industry, and traveled to Singapore, the UK, and the US. Husband Shashank Gupta claimed that she wasn't content. She therefore left in 2006 to get ready for the civil services exams and moved in with her mother to live in Rajendra Nagar. Her spouse was employed in Noida. For this IAS topper, the promise of a well-paying, cushy job was insufficient. She also had a job with the Noida-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). After taking a chance, she succeeded three years later. Her second and final try was this one.
IAS Journey:-
In 2008, Shubhra Saxena made a second attempt at UPSC Civil Services. In essence, she is from Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. She completed her education at Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, and graduated with a B.Tech in software engineering from IIT Roorkeee in 2002. She is an IAS Officer in the U.P. Cadre, 2009 Batch. Her initial posting was as the State Project Director for RUSA and as the Special Secretary for Higher Education..
She choose public administration and psychology as her electives. She enrolled in the training program at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. She was assigned as an Assistant Collector (in training) to Distt. Faizabad, which is 120 kilometers from Lucknow and is well-known for Ayodhya. During her year-long training there, she had numerous positions, including BDO and SDM.
Her position was that of Joint Magistrate in Faizabad. She was responsible for SDM Sadar Faizabad. She stayed here till February of 2011. In 2012, she was appointed as the Chief Development Officer of Distt Meerut. As the Deputy DEO, she oversaw the elections for Urban Local Bodies there. From July 2012 until October 2012, she served as Distt Ghaziabad's Chief Development Officer. Among her positions were those of District Magistrate and District Shravasti (Oct 2012 to Mar 2013).
According to Shubhra Saxena, "Everyone succeeds at her own speed." One of each person's most important duties is to pursue their own personal development. And in order to serve the world, one must, like Shubhra, always seek to develop and discover new skills.
