Exam Preparation Strategy:-

  1. Four years ago, she started preparing for the UPSC by studying NCERTs.
  2. Since current affairs make up the majority of the IAS exam, Shruti supported her study by regularly reading the newspapers to ensure that she was adequately focused on what was going on both domestically and globally.
  3. In order to ensure she had adequate practice before the tests, she completed a couple online test series.
  4. Her extensive syllabus revision was greatly aided by the notes she took during her studies.
  5. She used the internet a lot, and she focused mostly on practicing her answer writing for the Mains exam. For the UPSC mains, selecting the optional topic is crucial because the two optional examinations carry 500 points, which makes up a significant portion of the total score.
  6. She chose to major in history as an elective in the Mains.
  7. Her secret to success during the preparation was to be patient.
  8. She placed more emphasis on high-quality learning than on the quantity of study hours.
  9. She created a study timetable, but she only used a few sources, and she said that she didn't pick up any additional books or study materials during the revision phase.
To gain a sense of the type of questions that will be asked in the UPSC prelims test, it is recommended that you look at the previous year's UPSC prelims question paper book.
