Armstrong Pame, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has earned the moniker "Miracle Man" due to his extraordinary efforts and contributions to the development of remote areas in India, particularly in Manipur. Armstrong Pame attended Pretty Lamb Institute, Christian Grammar School, and United Builders School in Tamenglong till completing his tenth grade education. He is a native of Impa village, located in the Tousem subdivision of the Tamenglong district of Manipur. After that, he completed his St. Edmund Class 11 and Class 12 studies.

Shillong College. Following graduation from St. Stephen's College, Delhi in 2005 with a bachelor's degree, he took the 2008 Civil Services Examination (CSE) and was accepted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). In the 2008 batch, Armstrong Pame achieved All India Rank (AIR) 439, making him an IAS topper.

The Ziro Road Project:-

Introduction to the Ziro Road Project

One of Armstrong Pame’s most significant achievements is the Ziro Road project. This ambitious initiative aimed to construct a 100-kilometer road connecting remote villages in Manipur, which had been isolated due to lack of infrastructure.


Armstrong Pame is sometimes referred to as the "Miracle Man" because of his initiative in raising money from the general public to construct a 100-kilometer road in one of the nation's most isolated regions. Armstrong Pame graduated with honours in physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. She also completed the Harvard Kennedy School's Leadership in 21st Century Executive Education Module and Oxford University's Transformational Leadership Course. Additionally, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader of the Class of 2018.


His construction of the 100-kilometer "Peoples' Road," which connects Manipur to Nagaland and Assam, has earned him the moniker "Miracle Man."In recent times, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has designated this "People's Road" as National Highway 137

He is currently employed by the Indian government at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as a Director.

Ø  Armstrong Pame has won multiple honours, including the India's illustrious IAS officers award in 2022 and the Most Eminent IAS Officer Award in 2015 .

Ø  He received a nomination in the Public Service category for CNN-IBN Indian of the Year in 2012.

Ø  As the 'hero' of the ninth episode, he was also invited to appear on Amitabh Bachchan's chat programme Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi (AKRHZ) in 2015. He and Bollywood actor Boman Irani were spotted performing the well-known song "Give Me Some Sunshine" on the Star Plus programme.
