Biography:-


She was born on January 10, 1977, in Gulbarga. His mother worked as a gynaecologist for the government, and his father was employed in the Karnataka Administrative Service.Political science, international relations, and Kannada literature were among Vijayalakshmi's elective studies


Education:-


She received a score of 100/100 in mathematics on the 10th standard board test, however five marks separated her from her state rank. As a result, she decided to major in Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Biology in her eleventh and twelfth grades. After graduating from high school, she was awarded a merit seat in the Computer Science Engineering program at the RV College of Engineering (1995–1999).She also completed the Professional Development Program at Asian Institute of Technology Thailand, where she studied governance and anti-corruption strategies, graduating in 2014. In 2010, she completed her Public Policy studies at the Korea Development Institute in Seoul.

2010Her campus selections in BFL Software as a project trainee, with HPCL Calcutta as a management trainee, and a dozen other companies. she was the only one selected from Bangalore University for the interview conducted by HPCL in Calcutta. she had to compete with 70 odd MBAs with an engineering background from some of the best universities in the country.she was just twenty, and not even a graduate, but cleared the screenings at the University level and five levels of testing. Finally at eight at night she was one of the seven that had an appointment letter in hand, with an excellent salary - the only girl and may be their youngest employee in systems managemen

She completed engineering in March of 1999 and made her first attempt at the preliminary tests in May of the same year. Her time was limited to two months. However, she felt confident she would pass the tests after them. Either way, it would be beneficial if she began getting ready for the Main exams. She scored 210 out of 300, placing me in 107th place. She missed the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) by thirty-five marks, but was chosen for the Indian Customs and Central Excise Service. She reappeared in the 2000 civil services exam, passing both the preliminary and main exams, and began preparing for the May 4, 2001, interview. An hour was spent on the interview. Questions about the history of computers, microprocessors, gravitation, negative gravity, PSLVs, and GSLVs were primarily technical in nature.

As the top performer in the Rajasthan Cadre 2000 IAS batch, Bidari was selected as the Regional Director Staff Selection Commission in January 2015 in Bangalore, India, after ranking first in CSE 2000. .Moreover, she was the first female candidate from South India to win the exam.

Her father, Shankar Bidari, was the Karnataka state's Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP). The distinction of having five public servants from a single family of six belongs to an I.P.S. officer from the 1978 batch. Bidari is from a family of Lingayats. In 2001, Vijayalakshmi Bidari, IAS, the daughter of Bidari, topped the civil services. In Mumbai, her spouse, Mallikarjuna Prasanna, is a DCP and an IPS officer. Vijayendra Bidari, his son, is currently the S.P. of Tirunelveli. He is an IPS officer. His spouse, Rohini P. Bhajibhakare, IAS, of Solapur, is a probationary employee in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, serving as an assistant collector. Umadevi, the spouse of Shankar Bidari, is the sole one in the family who is not an IAS or an IPS.

During her career, she left a number of positions, including those with the Indian Customs and Excise Service (December 2000–September 2001), the Indian Assam Assistant Commissioner Government (September 2003–January 2004), the Indian Assam Assistant Collector/Sub Divisional Government of Maharashtra (April 2004–October 2004), the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Maharashtra (April 2005–October 2005), the District Collector/District Magistrate Maharashtra (October 2005–September 2007), the Member Secretary of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (Sep 2007–Nov 2008), the Director of Information Technology Maharashtra (November 2008–July 2011), and the Commissioner of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (July 2011–January 2015). The list goes on.

The NGO Round Table India granted her the 2015 Pride of Karnataka Award. At the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom, she was a 2012 Chevening Gurukul Scholar. In 2011, Vijayalakshmi Bidari was the youngest member in e-governance delegation of Department of IT, Government of India, visited Estonia and Finland.
