Delhi. In 1987, while serving as the District Collector and Magistrate of
Kerala, India, he made the decision to attend Harvard Kennedy School to pursue
a degree in Financial Administration. He has three kids and is married.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Kerala cadre who joined in
1972. He began his career in the Thrissur District as the sub-collector. He
then rose to the position of Collector and worked in Thrissur City for his
entire eight-year career. Because of his contribution to the growth of Thrissur
City, he was dubbed the second Sakthan Thampuran. From 1977 till 1980, he
served as the MD of the Kerala State Co-operative Marketing
Federation.Afterwards, he was named Principal Secretary (Finance) in the Kerala
State Government.
He held
high positions in the Indian government's Ministries of Defence and Commerce.
He held positions as Secretary of Financial Services and Additional Secretary
in the Banking Division, which included banks and insurance providers under the
Ministry of Finance, before being named CAG.
