Nandini KR CIVIL SERVICES 2016 TOPPER

CHILDHOOD:-

1.  Nandini hails from Kembodi village, situated in the Kolar district of Karnataka.
2. At the Government High School in Mudiwadi, Kolar, her father Ramesh holds the position of assistant schoolmaster.
3. To support her children's education, Vimala, her mother, gave up her job as a teacher.
4. At the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi, Nandini's brother is pursuing a post-graduate degree.
5. She is an OBC who enjoys reading and playing volleyball in her free time.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND:-

1. Nandini was a gold medalist at the MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bengaluru, where she completed her degree in civil engineering.
2. She attended Thimmaiah Vidyalaya in Kolar for her Kannada education.
3. She attended Alva's College in the Dakshina Kannada district for her pre-university education.
4. She had spent the preceding three years or so as an assistant engineer in the state public works department.
5. Nandini was attending the National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics in Faridabad to complete her IRS training when the IAS Results 2016 were revealed, declaring her a UPSC topper.

Nandini received 1120 out of a possible 25 points, including 927 points in the written exam and 193 points in the personality test. She received 55.3% for this, while Anmol Sher Singh Bedi, who was rated second, received 1105 marks, or 54.5%.

Nandini's optional subject of Kannada Literature enabled her to pass the exam.
